Our lives are in constant change, and as humans, we find ways of dealing with it. The magnitude, speed and consistency of today’s changes are however unprecedented.
The 21st century human is in search of ‘Peace and Harmony’, more so now than ever! Why? What we continue to learn is that as people our well-being in these times has little to do with the particulars of the events which confront us. Our peace or misery, harmony or conflict, success or failure, is neither a function of how much we have or how much we know. Rather, it has everything to do with our intent; what we choose to make significant to us and consequently what we give attention to.
None of you truly believe until you love for your brother what you love for yourselfProphet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه و سلم)
In any situation which confronts us, there are really only two variables at play; what we want to “get” and what we want to “give”. Of the two, the one we have control over is what we “give”: what sits in our hands. The more our attention is focused on what we can give, the stronger we become.
The objective of this workshop is self analysis. For the youth participating to look at their lives, at what causes them stress and anxiety and to take them on a path of discovery on how to resolve and remove those agitations.
